A Late Summer Night's Theme
texasradiofish
Created a lower fidelity mix of Late Summer Night’s Theme using Waves Studer J37 tape saturation plugin and the freeware Izotope Vinyl plugin (1980 record 33 rpm setting with 84% dust and 20% wear) to modify the reference track here.
The intro is built around a modified Carosone synth lead (converted to MIDI to drive acoustic bass, synth bells and two mono synths) and the turn around is built on the last D notes in Calyman’s arp sample.
Calyman’s bass synth was left in tact for the first and forth sections. These sections features the theme played by Javolenus on lead guitar. Javo’s guitar is reamped with two amps with 4x12 cabinets in parallel to preserve his stereo sample.
Calyman’s bass synth notes were remixed as C F G D in the second and fifth sections.
The third and sixth sections (R&B) are in C minor. Mal’s synth samples is used in these sections.
Apoxode’s epiano samples (two notes A and D) were used for the D turn around in the intro and the end of the first R&B section. In the second turn around, vintage reverb amp with tremolo was applied.
