While working on space music, ElRon wanted to record using the vocoder feature on his Digitech pedal gadget. We decided to use the samples in a reverse Vidian remix.
After cutting out a couple of bars from Vidian’s Simple Thingz and reversing the sample, we heard “see, see, see a man above it.” Vidian sure knows how to plan ahead. Play her material backwards to find new song material.
It was a fun accident. I loaded the sample into a mixer channel that had been set for reverse playback. A title and message was born.
