Band of Joy was founded in spring 2004 and consists of the three friends Matti, Anton and Hannes. The music that we experimentally create is quite hard to describe with just a few words since every song differs from the others in style and character. Folkmusic of different sorts is a big source of inspiration but also surf-music, circus-sounds and traditional jazz are styles that are more or less represented in Band of Joy’s repertoire. The songs are musical adventures that lead you all over the world. Sometimes you are at many places at the same time, but do not worry, all songs have happy endings.
