It's Not Too Late
Snowflake
Perhaps we feel we can’t change things, but refusing to stay silent is a start.
Special thanks to Sackjo22 and Caspian for sharing your beautiful voices and visiting the studio. xxx
It’s Not Too Late
By Madam Snowflake
“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” (George Eliot)
You have been programmed for bigotry
Exchanging rancor for wealth and economy
So damn afraid
Poisoned by hate
And cruelty
He is not a good Shepherd
Feeds you lies absurd, you eat every word
He is not a good Shepherd
One day you’ll learn
When the tables have turned
And your burned
By the lines you have blurred
Where we’re broken, we can be deceived
Patterns and scars unhealed passed through our ancestry
Justification
For vindication
Easily
Becomes cruelty
Good people believe
In the evil he speaks
Why can’t you see?
He is not a good Shepherd
Feeds you lies absurd, you eat every word
He is not a good Shepherd
One day you’ll learn
When the tables have turned
And you’re burned
By the lines you have blurred
Heal your past
Future coming fast
There’ll be peace at last
Evolving infinitely
Apathy can’t be our destiny
Onto Damascus rewriting our history
Overcome hate
It’s not too late
For you and me
Embody forgiveness
Golden rule fairness
Not this insanity
Cuz he is not a Good Shepherd
Feeds you lies absurd, you eat every word
He is not a good Shepherd
Karmic pain incurred if he’s left undeterred
He is not a good Shepherd
One day you’ll learn
When the tables have turned
And your burned
By the lines you have blurred
It’s not too late
For you and me
It’s not too late
For harmony
It’s not too late
For you and me
It’s not too late
For harmony
