Shifting Junkie

This was a lot of fun. I took a couple of Mana Junkie’s tracks (and even his vocals) and mashed up a groove, and then added about half-a-dozen guitar parts, which I then slowly whittled away.
My original intention had been to make a free jazz dance remix, but the final guitar part and its out there remix were a step too far. (I stripped those two tracks out and mashed them together to make this stand-alone track, Highgate Woods 3rd July 2018.)
The dub coda was a very happy Ableton accident: What does this button do? It takes Mana Junkie’s funky bass groove and turns it into a dub groove.
But, still needing something to finish the track, I found my way to SackJo22’s excellent spoken word track…
And that lit up the whole sky!
