My imaginary friend
thinks things through before they’re said
pulls those petals off a daisy
till he knows she loves him even dead

She melts him like an icecream hot
emotion in a paper bag
Then blows it up
enough to pop
with the song shes singing through his head

(insert ear worm here)

She sings the song
just like an angel
slow twisted through his blackened soul
then kills him softly
when shes able
up to him to keep control

She keeps her cards below his table
never showing off her hand
then climbs him like a tower of babel
heel on chest you understand
