Had this one cooking for a couple of weeks and now I think its ready. (just in time for next Tuesday).
This is the first time that I’ve extensively used the full version of melodyne as a plugin to protools. I hope I haven’t over produced it.
All the voices are me (or should I say used to be), with the female rap part modeled on Kendra’s voice shape. I can’t rap, but allowed the program to force the plosives against the beat and overplay the pops & sibilants. The do do do’s and other girls voice are me modelled on Amelia James voice, then triggered with midi against a melody.
The drums, bass and porn guitar was turned from single shots out of the samples above, the only “live” bit being the solo.
The serious message to the song is one supporting Obama;
so all you US voters out there - the world is in your hands. Get out there and vote and hopefully save the rest of us from McCain’s dancing!
