Maracatu & Guitar
rocavaco
This remix I made for a (non-commercial) theatre competition. It has three parts of about 1 minute where 2 characters meet, fall in love and begin to dance. The idea is from some brasilian friends and they wanted to build it upon a Maracatu rhythm. Tried to make the thunder of 20 or more alfaia’s a bit lighter and romantic with the guitar parts…
The Maracatu track is “Nação Batuqueiros”, courtesy of Nação Porto Rico. This track is also dedicated to Tarcísio and Paulinha who tried to teach me the Maracatu. If you are interested in more Maracatu just google for “Maracatu” or “Quebra Baque” or “Nacao Porto Rico” (not Puerto Rico…)
The guitar of the 3rd part is from echoed - seems that he has left ccMixter, I could not find him to add the reference. The tempo starts at 100 bpm and speeds up to 107. Pump up the volume and enjoy the beat!
