My records tell me this one appeared on two (now defunct) poetry websites “Nasty” and “Indie Journal” in 2000!
It was first ‘print published’ in COMRADES PRINT JOURNAL (UK)
Vol. 1. (May, 03) ISSN 1740-4703
I’ll bet there aren’t many of those around now!

a graveyard.
pages lap as headstones
resting place of dear friends
dead fifteen years lie beside my brother
the important have lost importance
the insignificant signified
friends become strangers
work mates faded away
couples uncoupled
business cards i never used
the pencilled have been penned
the penned faded
and my hand will not erase
nor put the final line through names
rub salt into wounds
add insult to injury
nor dance
upon a grave
