sparrow in an airport
robwalkerpoet
This was the title poem in my first ever poetry collection over 9 years ago!
sparrow in an airport.
it’s a kind of freedom
apparently having all you want
more than enough space
for one small sparrow
crumbs from McDonalds
controlled climate
yet you keep hitting glass
that invisible force separates
you and sky
flapping frustration
caged in a monument to flight
sparrow in an airport
