Oration
This one began with colab’s beautiful little piano loop which I find quite hypnotic. (colab)Oration. Get it? It’s accompanied by the Himeji Shakuhachi Orchestra (namely me multitracking countless times on my very amateur shak. I realize I’m no competition for Riley Lee or John Neptune!) I was going for building unusual chords and harmonies rather than composing a melody. I’ve been working on it for months, but it’s one of those things where you have to stop tinkering and send it off for it to come to a conclusion. I was hoping for a kind of Phillip Glass feel but maybe I’m just kidding myself…
Most of the shak tracks were just little snippets so I’ve lumped them all together without the piano if anyone wants just the atmospherics to create their own piece.
