No one else has mixed my poem the bird leaves its cage and enters another – so I’ve had a shot myself. I’ve chosen duckett’s smooth production of Ad Astra by Ghost Collective. I think the feeling of launch and disconnectedness in the track works well with Juan’s feelings as a refugee arriving in a new country. I’d be interested to know if any of you think it works! Whatever your opinion, please don’t let it stop you from doing your own version of the bird leaves its cage… The more, the merrier.
