Sufi Dance has been haunting me for a few days. Psykick’s contemporary swirling trance track is like Philip Glass-meets-The-Prodigy. There’s something hypnotic about the ever-morphing rhythms overlaid on a 6/8 beat which keeps pulsing like a heart. I’ve mixed it with Act of God, a slightly ironic poem about the nature of the God of Insurance. The poem was a gift (almost entirely lifted from the small print of a household insurance policy over 11 years ago.)
I’ve added a vocal mix if anyone else wants to have a crack at it.
It was time I did something a bit more aggro. I hope Psykick doesn’t feel that I’ve ruined the vibe…
