My Syrian Cousin
radiotimes
Last week I met a friend of mine’s Syrian cousin. He told us of the terrible things that were happening in his country and that although he had wanted to stay being an only child his Father had persuaded him to leave the country whilst he had a chance.
His stories of first hand experience of the horrors of Syria were a very emotional listen and his fear of being reported to the authorities for anything he might say were a constant worry.
Sackjo’s Eye of the owl reflects the many eyes and ears that are betraying their countrymen to protect their own families.
Iamnotlefthanded’s lyrics seemed to fit the words the young man spoke and of his yearning to return to his family.
