I had the great luck this week to have the loan of a Gibson guitar. This was not any old Gibson but a limited edition copy of Paul Kossoff’s 1959 Les Paul. Gibson had taken the original guitar and copied it down to the smallest detail including all the distressing you’d expect on a guitar of this age. I don’t profess to have done Paul or the guitar justice on this track but it was my way of saying thanks to Gibson and a special thanks to Paul Kossoff and Free for all the great memories of 1970 it brought back.
As a side note I had the pleasure of carrying the original into a club when I and a friend offered to help “Roadie ” for the night.
Ah what happened to those wonderful days!!
I’ve manipulated the Admirals vocals into E minor so any oddness is down to me and not his great performance
