I must start with a shameful confession. After the end of the stream but before exporting the files, I listened back to the track and caught an oversight that I’d made, and fixed said error by turning down the bass.

Yes, I broke my own arbitrary rules, but in the end, for the sake of the final mix, I made the right call.

I envisioned this song as having more of a synthwave night drive kind of feel, the decision to play the song in 6/8 was a last minute call and forced a bit of a scramble to make the pieces make sense.

And for as often as I say it, yes, I was surprised to have gotten the song done on time.
