I Gave Up
jaspertine
So, this is a pretty simple little slowcore song that mostly just started off as a test track while trying out some new gear that I picked up, and old gear that I dusted off and began trying to dial in new tones.
I’ll be honest, I’m not 100% happy with the song that came out of it, the lyrics are kind of last-minute, and there’s there’s some places that could have used a little tweaking in post, though I think it’d prefer to leave my mistakes intact.
But really, the point of this was to try out my new microphone and try to coax better tones out of my guitar, so it’s a success in that regard.
Anyway, do with it what you will, and have fun.
Lyrics:
I wrote my name on the dotted line
He shook my hand and coldly smiled
Sometimes I wonder why
but when I try to ask, he says
There’s No Need To Worry
Now they treat me like a king
Cater to my every whim
When I ask them
What the hell is happening?
they say
There’s No Need To Worry
Don’t ask questions anymore
I’m getting fat, I’m getting slow
Sometimes I wonder
Where’d all the time go?
they say
There’s No Need To Worry
