There’s something about that rumbly sound and the repetitive scratchy noise that reminds me of some rust-coloured furnace or boiler room in the basement of an otherwise clean building, possibly being walked through by the lead actress in a horror movie.
So I wound up spending some money in order to no longer have to deal with open-source alternatives to the kinds of software I actually wanted to use. My new computer doesn’t handle audio quite as elegantly as my old one, but at least now I can import tracks into Live Intro and wreak my slow havoc on them from there.
This track loops the same sample I used in my last remix, roughly the same part, in fact, albeit slowed down. Then there’s some sinewaves and percussion.
Drum Samples are from a royalty free library made by this guy. He’s got an album you can download for free right here, and no, he didn’t put me up to this, I genuinely want to pass the link around… mostly because I like his drum samples, and plan to use them quite a bit.
