Ghostlight
gurdonark
The Gurdon Light appears along the railroad tracks, five miles outside Gurdon, Arkansas. According to the oral history, the light represents the lantern of a headless railwayman, hunting for his head. In the doorways of perception, one can see round, colorful lights, hovering in mid-air, above the tracks, on clear nights. In the realm of metaphor,
one wanders the lonely railway, looking for illumination.
