“As the film begins, we see a man gazing out the living room window of his small apartment at the empty city street below, the light of the setting sun hazy and dull, an ambience of muted emptiness and solitude pervading the scene.
As the man steps away from the window and approaches his couch, the phone rings. What he hears when he answers it causes him to stop in his tracks- his face frozen, his shocked intake of breath is heard as he slumps stiffly against the couch to the floor, unseeing eyes staring straight ahead, the phone dropping from his unfeeling fingers as unimaginable horror and despair claim his mind and soul…”
