mwic: rap, words, vocals and WORD
Zenboy: ill-conceived microtonal cacophony
mwic’s fleeting mention of Buddha grabbed my attention like a fish hook, even if the reference was a part of a Beatbox display. I’ll admit that while I was busily sifting through the Mixtermorphosis submissions, a lot of his rap blew by me at gatling gun speed. But the Buddha reference made me think, “Hmm, I’ll have to come back to this one.”
I’m glad I did. Once I listened to Rapidarity with the aid of reading along while listening, I was really impressed with his content and his delivery. The speed is insane, of course, and the only thing I could think of that clocks in at 180 bpm is EDM and—Classical Hindustani music. I started to think “What if…”
As soon as I got access to his vocal tracks I began my dissent into Yamaloka (Google it).
And so, what you hear is what you get!
