Goodbye Jon Lord
Wired Ant
I was ten or eleven when my older brother came one afternoon back home with his first bought Deep Purple LP (Fireball). Immediately we went to our living room to listen to the album on my fatherĀ“s stereo.
The music was wild and fast and I was listening in awe. Then my brother pointed to the picture of Jon Lord on the cover and said to me:”This is the best organ player of the world! Understand Dude?”
I nodded.
In the next six years I had got more “best keyboard players of the world” depending on the peergroups I joined. But Jon Lord was my very first “best one of the world”!
Juli 16th 2012 Jon Lord died caused by pancreatic cancer.
This organ, a mix of an Absynth4 and a FM8 preset I jammed some nights later.
Thank you and Goodbye Jon Lord
