I was thrilled to pieces when I first learned that I was assigned Alex. I love Alex’s work…and then I started combing through his repetoire and I became incredibly intimidated. He is a prolific member of the ccMixter community with a wide variety of textures and sounds in his uploads. Eventually, I had to simply commit to a creative inclination and this is what came out. After the War — a song about the repercussions of war, as a gesture for a hope for peace. Special thanks to Haskel for lending me his fine guitar chops, once again. He’s cool.
