A Children's Carol
Radioontheshelf
My table is full and my cupboards are bulging. My refrigerator and freezer cry out for mercy as I try to stuff more into them. In the lounge the tinsel glitters and the fairy lights shine out a form of Morse Code predicting the arrival again of the boy from Bethlem and his partner in crime Santa Claus. Behind closed doors the meek and mild prepare to be meek and mild again whilst the rest of us over indulge and laugh at terrible jokes.
Joe Bones’ spoken word reminds us of all those less fortunate than we are and for their suffering we only have our shame for letting it continue.
The goverments will never solve the problems only the people.
