From where I live it is only a few minutes by car to the Study Preparatory School in Wimbledon and it was here that last Thursday 8 year old Selena Lau lost her young life. She was killed whilst playing in the grounds of the school by a car that smashed through the schools fence and ploughed into a group of children and teachers. It appears the driver had been taken seriously ill and lost control of the car.

As I get older I think more of what lies ahead. Is it really the end or is there some divine existence awaiting me and the warm embrace of a kind and loving God. I have never been a believer in any of the worlds religions but as a Humanist I do believe in the inherent goodness of mankind. As to the gods well where were they when young Selena set out to enjoy a day at school.
