Two Dancers

Oh how good it would be if we could live our own Groundhog Day, able to erase the mistakes and live in a higher place of perfection, full of the knowledge that our mispoken words and deeds could be taken back and life continued without fear of repercussion.
Thanks to Texasradiofish for the guitar that started the whole thing off.
I know you’ve got lots to say
About my wild indulgent days
The ones I stole then gave away
When the darkness was upon me
And the wisest cannot see the light
They struggle to tell wrong from right
I thought the end was still in sight
When you came from the harbour
But though you listened with respect
To good advice and nothing less
You got it wrong you failed the test
Left me to pick up the pieces
Now when all is said and done
The journeys end will soon become
The place where we were over run
With sorrow for our failings
