The Kiss Of Rain On My Dreams
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Eleanor Roosevelt
I once walked into an empty room and saw opposite me a man who gestured to me to approach him. I moved towards him but no matter how hard I tried I could not get closer. Each step left me in the same place.
The man was my Father but he was young and full of promise and I was not part of his world. I was 15 years ahead in a future still rebuilding itself after the second world war. Together we could have built a new world but instead we became indifferent to each other and ultimately strangers.
The music was sitting in the corner, waiting to be asked to dance. Thanks to Emily’s wonderful words and performance it found itself on the dance floor waltzing its heart away.
