Having A Fine Time
Radioontheshelf
Many years ago before the kids, Xmas eve would end up with the two of us, naked, rolling about on the carpet.
I leave you with that precious image and wish you all Merry Xmas
On a day when we’re arrayed with time
And space some human haste and music
We will sit on the edge of the pit
And gaze and stare and reminisce
With good wine
There will be some chemistry
Some urgency a little frisky and down time
You will shine as we decline
Admit blame with rabid shame
Is that not right now
A handful of laughter two human disasters
We’re getting plastered on our time
Complicated ultimately fated
Passed over inebriated we walk a fine line
Sweaty little stories of the power and the glory
Illicit thoughts it all sounds corny but it’s Xmas time
Ho ho santas with a corny bit of banter
Dressed to kill you’ll know what matters
When you shine
Me I’m restricted you take the biscuit
Positions of Karma don’t mean to alarm ya
But I’m naked now
I leave you with that precious image and wish you all Merry Xmas
On a day when we’re arrayed with time
And space some human haste and music
We will sit on the edge of the pit
And gaze and stare and reminisce
With good wine
There will be some chemistry
Some urgency a little frisky and down time
You will shine as we decline
Admit blame with rabid shame
Is that not right now
