Sitting Back - Swimmers - Find Yourself (Roughed-Out Ditty Mix)
Joel Frijters
Hello All,
I dusted the rust off my axe today and thought I’d record the outcome. robwalkerpoet brings some words and I bring a reply. The text is below for those who like to read :)
Cheers!
Text 1:
The thrill of colour and thigh
moving as one organism
the flock veering
semaphores black/ white
every move’s a calculated
mean
a darker subjugation
individuals are vanishing
points on the horizon
the technical merit of
Gestapo jackboots
Our hunger for icons
fire water
the power of uniformity
We’ve seen synchronised humanity
In Goerring’s choreography
Free thought is rooted
out in training
The aberrant sent to re-education camp
or stood against the
swimming pool wall and
shot
© rob walker.
Text 2:
may you find yourself, sooner than believable wrapped in my warmth,
in my light.
my tears will be your sustenance.
my embrace your guide.
may all that I have be in you and through you.
like a great enveloping wind through your mind.
may stillness rest like a crown on your brow.
and life spring forth from your chest.
your hands wrapped in warm mercy.
may you find yourself.
