A Capella for Stranded on Marmolada
Kaer Trouz
This is part of the Stranded On Marmolada collaboration project.
I think we wanted to convey a sense of desolation and loss,in a non-conventional way.
The sense of the project was inspired by a set of lonely mountain ranges in northeastern Italy, the Dolomites, oh which Marmolada is the highest peak.
Lyrics:
There’s a photograph of me
I’m swaying happily
The rhysomes are anchored in the yard
I think we dug & chipped to hard
The winds took you away
bye bye boulevard
bye bye rain
the beach smells like rot
but now it’s all we’ve got
there’s a photograph of me
I’m swaying happily
But I think it was spring
when the shutter clicked on that scene
the snow buries our hearts
and the black rock blinds our eyes
the darkened stars we won’t see at night
and the blue mountains disappear in the light
and the sun’s rougey smile
is now gray streaked tears for awhile
and I think it was spring
when the shutter clicked on that scene
